You could not have picked a more beautiful day to be on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. There is notihng more exciting than being in the surroundings of such wonderful traditions. They are truly a class act. Tailgating with both MSU and Notre Dame along with throwing the football around is what game day is all about!!
Now, watching the game was painful... Starting off with back to back turnovers and poor running, you could just feel that this was going to be a looong game. Once Notre Dame returned the kickoff for a TD, the Spartans completely fell apart. MSU only had 29 yards on the ground averaging 1.3 yards a carry and Norte Dame had 114 yards averaging 3.6 yards. Obviously, this was a key factor in Notre Dame's 31 to 13 victory over the Spartans.
Cousins cannot throw the ball unless he is on the run. When he just drops back into the pocket, he doesn't have the offensive line giving enough support. When he takes control and becomes mobile, he finds a way to make it happen. He has the ability to roll right and left to complete difficult passes, which we all know is no easy task. Today he passed for 329 yards making 34 out of 54. Cousins has the talent to lead the Spartans to a Big Ten title if he can show consistently and the line can hold off the "D" to give the guy a chance.
Look, State has a week to hyper focus on their offensive line and rebuild their confidence (recover from this embarrassment). Playing Central Michigan should be an easy victory and put us back on the right track. Lets Goooooo State. Show some heart.......
